Become a Collaborative Discussion Coach
Apply Now for Summer Coach Training 2023! Deadline is Sunday, April 2nd
Dear collaborative discussion friends,
We are taking a short break from our regular weekly newsletters to share with you some exciting information about upcoming events. If you have been enjoying the collaborative discussion activities that we highlight each week, then you may want to consider applying for our summer coach training. It is an opportunity to dive deeper into these activities and use them to design your own collaborative discussion certificate program. You will be joining a growing community of coaches (40+) who award certificates in collaborative discussion (400+).
Summer Coach Training
The Summer Coach Training is offered online, May 31 - June 6 (12 - 3pm eastern) (excluding Sat & Sun). You can expect 15 hours of interactive engagement in small group discussion. Upon successful completion, participants will become certified collaborative discussion coaches and able to offer their own uniquely designed collaborative discussion certificate program. The training will:
Introduce participants to key collaborative discussion concepts
Dive deep into the Collaborative Discussion Toolkit and IF pedagogy
Model how to facilitate collaborative discussion activities
Share practical and ready-to-use collaborative discussion resources
Practice collaborative discussion skills and habits in small working teams
Connect participants in a learning experience and broader community of practice
Support participants as they construct a draft certificate program design
If this interests you and you can commit fully to all 5 days of the training, please consider applying. Again, the deadline for applications is Sunday, April 2nd.
If you are interested but these dates don’t work for you, don’t worry. We have options. We are hoping to offer preconference coach trainings this fall. We will keep you posted as these develop. We are also open to offering cohort trainings. Please reach out and we can explore possibilities.
Already a Coach?
If you are already an IF Collaborative Discussion Coach, we have opportunities for you, too.
Please share this newsletter with friends and colleagues.
We are still accepting applications for Innovative Certificate Program Stipends ($1000). Apply now!
